ABP Port of Southampton welcomed MSC Cruises new flagship Euribia, at the start of the ship’s series of winter Northern Europe cruises. MSC Euribia completed the world’s first net zero greenhouse gas emissions voyage when leaving the shipyard in June.
MSC Cruises’ newest flagship is its second ship to homeport in Southampton and also the second ship in the fleet to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Antonio Paradiso, MD, MSC Cruises UK & Ireland said, “The arrival of MSC Euribia to the UK is an exciting moment. Our newest flagship will give British travellers another chance to explore a variety of destinations.”
The arrival was celebrated by a traditional plaque exchange.
